Rider agreement & liability waiver
Please read these terms in full before renting a scooter or bike. Riders are asked to review and agree to this agreement at the time of pickup.

Prices shown exclude applicable taxes. Payment may be made by card or cash; a $100 security deposit is required for cash payments. A valid driver's license or ID number is also required for cash payments.

Renter responsibilities
- Follow all traffic laws and operate equipment safely at all times.
- No operation while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
- Helmet use is strongly recommended and is the responsibility of the renter.
- No passengers, towing, racing, stunts, or unsafe operation.
- Do not lend, sublease, or allow any other person to operate the equipment.
- Renter is responsible for all tickets, citations, impound charges, and retrieval costs.

Return policy
- All scooters and bikes must be returned to: Storm Scooters, 322 Commercial Street, Provincetown, MA.
- Equipment must be physically checked in by Company staff, except where after-hours drop-off has been pre-approved by Company.
- For approved after-hours drop-offs, equipment must be locked at 322 Commercial Street, and the key placed in the designated lockbox at that location. Storm Scooters monitors the premises by video camera; however, Renter remains responsible for the equipment and key until both are checked in by staff the following business day.
- Leaving equipment anywhere else, including hotels, sidewalks, public racks, residences, or any location other than 322 Commercial Street, shall constitute failure to return equipment.

Non-return fees (per unit)
- $500 replacement charge if a bike is lost, stolen, or not recoverable.
- $1,000 replacement charge if a scooter is lost, stolen, or not recoverable.
- Rental charges continue until equipment is physically checked in by staff — this includes late returns.

Payment & security
Payment authorization: Renter authorizes charges for rental fees, deposits, damages, and additional charges as outlined in this agreement (see Non-Return Fees section).

Damage / loss liability
Renter is responsible for:
- Damage beyond normal wear and tear.
- Lost or stolen equipment.
- Replacement cost of unit (see above).
- Repair costs resulting from misuse or negligence.
- Missing accessories, including keys, locks, helmets, baskets, or chargers.

Personal property disclaimer
Renter assumes all risk of loss, theft, or damage to any personal property carried, worn, or otherwise possessed during use of rented equipment, including but not limited to phones, wallets, bags, clothing, cameras, jewelry, keys, and other belongings.

Assumption of risk, release, waiver, and indemnity
Renter understands that operation of bicycles and scooters involves inherent risks, including falls, collisions, road hazards, equipment failure, serious injury, paralysis, or death. Renter voluntarily assumes all risks associated with use of the equipment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Renter releases and holds harmless KP & CS Enterprises, Inc., its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, expenses, or causes of action arising out of or related to the rental or use of equipment, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct. Renter agrees to indemnify and defend KP & CS Enterprises, Inc. against any third-party claims arising from Renter's use or misuse of the equipment.

Termination
Company may immediately terminate the rental and recover equipment if Renter violates this agreement, fails to comply with town rules, or operates the equipment recklessly or while intoxicated.

Renter acknowledgment
Riders must be at least 16 years of age if riding a scooter.
